Hard work, Soccer on P-day and a Broken Arm!

Working hard!
Well this week we worked hard again, we have been giving it a good effort!  We always are talking about what we can do better what we can stop doing to be better, how we can feel the spirit more and pay attention to him, I have felt the spirit stronger with Elder Morales than with any other companion of mine!

It’s amazing the work here in Valle de Chalco! We are living the dream here!  I have learned again about diligence, it’s funny, I had no idea what that word meant before being a missionary, and now it’s become one of my favorite words, diligence is what the missionary work is, it’s what our Heavenly Father wants from us and it’s what we need to do in order to be happy!  I testify that diligence will bring us happiness, but diligence in what? In the gospel, to read, attend, and pray, serve, fast, study, and LIVE. That is what we need diligence for.

Something kind of crazy that happened to us today, we went to play soccer and Elder Morales, my comp, fell down pretty hard and you guessed it, he broke his arm! poor guy, we spent 3 hours in the hospital today, they had to reset his bone.... he wasn’t happy about that.... he’s got a cast on and everything right now... he has to wear it for 6 weeks. He’s a champ though; I just ask that you can remember him in your prayers. And me too, because Mexican hospitals are horrible!!

I love you so so much.
I know the church is true now!

I Have Gained Weight!!!!

First off I love you guys!

Second! I have gained weight!!!! Ha-ha I know it’s weird but it’s happening! I am so happy!!
Well this week truly has been great. Elder Morales and I worked pretty dang hard. We got home every night dog tired. I had to drag myself into bed every night, so this week has been pretty radical. We put in some hard hours, visited tons of people and made tons of changes.  We are working hard. This cycle is probably the fastest cycle of my life!  It just started and it’s almost over in 2 weeks! We need to work harder!!

The best thing that happened to me this week was the baptism of Miguel Angel.  He has his own burrito shop and actually has been going to church actively for over a year! He just never got baptized.  His whole family is baptized, and finally him too!  It was such a powerful experience, we prepared everything for the baptism and we had it all ready.  He wasn’t sure if he wanted to, but we had everything ready and he told us the day of the baptism he was ready.  So he had his second interview and got baptized all on the same day on Saturday!  The spirit soooo powerful at his baptism!  This was a good one, long waited. Actually all of the members said finally! Haha, but seriously I am sooo happy for him.  He is a great guy and works hard for his family.  He needed this.  Yesterday he was given the priesthood! How cool is that??? In one year he can enter in the temple!

This week I have continued to see sooooo many miracles!  I have learned that this is the restored gospel of Jesus Christ! I know without a doubt that Joseph Smith saw God the Father and His son Jesus Christ! I know that the Book of Mormon is true, and that Thomas S Monson is the Prophet! I know that God loves us; I am strongly convinced that trials are for our best. They are just like the waves that propel us through the raging rapids!
The church is true!
I love you all more than you know!

Week of Miracles and Hard Work!

Yo Fam wassssssssupp!!

Ayyyyy, yeah this last week was crazy good! We tied the record for lessons with a member present! I know it’s just a silly number, but we worked our butts off for it!  We have witnessed a ton of miracles!  So it’s safe to say that life is good!  Also…I don’t know if I told you but my comp Elder Morales loves Nacho Libre too! So I am pretty stoked about that!

Well we do have water now...I couldn’t bathe for like 4 days due to the amazing construction the neighbors did to the pipes next door.... they dug a big hole in the street and they drilled the water drain...... they’re real smart I tell you what. But I now have water, so that’s all good!!

I have to tell you! My new Mission President is the man! President Zapata, is super spiritual, he works hard too! I have felt the spirit super strong with him.  We had the leadership meeting with him and the other leaders on Friday and he talked about faith and baptism and it was seriously super powerful. He is super outgoing too. He’s just a good guy!

Some miracles of the week:
Miracles: Well we have been working with an investigator that is completely active in the church, pays tithing and everything, but he isn’t baptized.... he is getting baptized Saturday! We have been able to find a ton of new investigators, and we have like 3 or 4 that are progressing pretty nicely!  We have been working with the zone as well trying to motivate and do better.
We are getting referrals! The members are working with us and the work is just getting faster and faster!

Well this week I learned about efforts.  We had to give everything to HF this week.  We worked and worked and worked, and came home dirt tired every day.  I have fallen asleep a couple times in my prayers lately!  But I realized something this week, angels have literally been supporting me, they have lifted me out of bed, they have pushed and pulled me and we have seen a ton of success!  The Lord has told us to do the best that we can and he will do the rest and I can honestly testify of that.

I know that he will strengthen us! He loves us that much.  But he will not do it until we reach our breaking point, and then in that moment of no more can i take is when he steps in. I will keep giving because I owe it to him and His son. They shouldn’t expect anything less than my best.

Quotes of the week…The way to be with God in every season is to strive to be near Him every week and each day.

HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!!!!!!

HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!!!!!!

Well life is good, just so ya know! Life is great! I love my new area! It’s seriously the best here!

This past week I had some family that went to the temple back home.  (Shout out to those in Washington D.C.)  I am super stoked you could go to the temple! That’s awesome! I am really wanting to go to the temple.  I haven’t been in a while! I want to go.  The temple is such a blessing to those of us who have a temple.  For those in the United States…we don’t have an excuse to not go. So let’s go!

We have seen sooooo many miracles in our area.  We had our fast on Sunday and we had like 8 investigators in church. We retain 4 baptismal dates and we have found 2 investigators of gold! They are already ready and want to be baptized! I have been able to feel the spirit stronger with Elder Morales than with any other companion I’d say.  I have been able to feel the spirit super-duper strong. It’s awesome!  We have been working super hard in our area and we have been working extra hard with the zone.

We decided to drop an investigator, she wasn’t progressing like she should be, and the very same day we found a new investigator named Miguel. He goes to church, pays tithing, is legally married, and loves the church.  Just has a little fear to get baptized.  Please pray for him, so that he can make that choice!

This is the truth. I have seen so many witnesses this week. It blows my mind what I have been able to experience.  It’s logical for me now, Jesus lives, and the church is true.  If someone who reads this isn’t 100 percent sure if the church is true, or doubts their testimony I challenge you to read the BOM.  Dedicate yourself to pray more, and get yourself to church but do it with a sincere heart and THEN ask of God.  Then repeat the process.  I promise to those who do it you will be changed and you will find a testimony.  I am convinced and you should be too!

This is my first letter to President Zapata:

President!

Well I am happy that you are now my new Mission President. I felt the spirit very strong at the meeting last Friday.  I am very happy that you and Sister Zapata will serve here with us.

To introduce myself a little I’m Elder Galbraith from Provo, UT. I am 20 years old and have 15 months as a missionary. I am serving with Elder Morales in Valle de Chalco.  I love the mission ! We have seen many miracles in our area and zone. The area goes well, some challenges but many miracles too!

Thank you for everything  President, and Sister too.

Love Elder Galbraith

I am super happy that all is good in the hood.
You guys make me so happy.
You are the best!
I love you so so much.

I like the quote from Thomas S Monson

May we maintain the courage to defy the consensus. May we ever
choose the harder right instead of the easier wrong.
